OpenAI staff demand board quit over Altman sacking
OpenAI staff have demanded that the company’s board of directors resign over the sacking of Ilya Sutskever, the company’s previous CEO.
The staff have written an open letter to the board, saying that they are “deeply concerned” about the decision to fire Sutskever. They say that Sutskever was a “visionary leader” who was “responsible for OpenAI’s success.”
The staff also say that they are worried about the future of OpenAI under the leadership of Sam Altman, the company’s new CEO. They say that Altman is “inexperienced” and that he “does not have the same vision” for OpenAI as Sutskever.
The open letter has been signed by over 100 OpenAI staff. It is unclear whether the board of directors will respond to the letter, or whether they will take any action.
